Denny Ilett lives and breathes inspiring Blues guitar! He's true king of Blues phrasing and has an organic and authentic approach to blues lead guitar that is hard to come by!
East Coast Roast is a fine example of just what Denny can deliver. Taking inspiration from Wes Montgomery's West Coast Blues this 6/8 blues track in waltz time features mostly minor pentatonic and dorian scales. Denny concertrates on accenting colourful chord tones and adds in some chromatic ideas to spice up his standard blues repetoire.
This track has been extracted from Denny's Organ Blues Sessions 1 package (available but clicking the image below) launched in 2012, and features his regular trio playing the backing tracks live.
As ever, we have included everything you need to practise and perfect the material in this package. There are video and audio tracks for you to watch/listen and study, accurately transcribed TAB/notation for you to analyse and master as well as backing tracks for you to practise every lick to, and jam out your own solos!
