The Art Of Hybrid Picking Masterclass

Hybrid picking is the artful skill of using a flat pick (plectrum) as you would every day, but incorporating your other picking hand fingers into the mix to help you pick and pull out notes on the other strings in quick succession.

This single Masterclass course contains three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. So no matter what your current skill level, there is everything you’ll need from the basics to the top, in order to help you progress and master hybrid picking! 

The Masterclass is built around three study guides, totalling 144 pages and includes all of the complete explanations, and theory involved in the course. The exact use of pick strokes and right-hand fingerings are all notated too so you’ll have everything clearly laid out in the tab/notation for studying.

You’ll find plenty of exercises and warm-up licks in all three levels, played both fast and slow. Claudio will be taking you through many techniques and ideas he uses every day including varying levels of pentatonics, legato, string skipping, triads, extended triads, quadriads, descending ideas and much more!

Each level features 10 licks played at a normal and slow speed which takes the technical concepts and applies them to musical ideas. These will be the basis of your hybrid picking repertoire and prepare you for the end solos!

You’ll find a full solo at the end of each of the three levels. These final tasks will include varying approaches to hybrid picking and contain the mountain of ideas you will have covered throughout the Masterclass.
