Modal Techniques: Intermediate

Most players say that modes and technique are two areas that they would like to help take their playing to the next level. Well now you can! Brian Maillard teaches you how to use the modes creatively while supercharging your chops in the process!

In this Intermediate volume we'll be focussing on the Mixolydian mode! Along with learning the mixolydian mode all over the neck (with diagrams too!) we'll be taking the mode through all sorts of paces such as legato exercises. These will help you practise and develop your technique at a slightly higher level than the beginner volume, and we're sure you'll find some interesting and challenging ideas too! We'll also be working on adding chromatic passing tones, and different pentatonic combinations! To round this volume off Brian has 10 very creative and challenging intermediate licks for you to learn and a full solo to bring everything together.
