  • Insert the contest intro/outro images to your video
  • Upload and title your video to your YouTube channel
  • Sign back in and submit your entry!
  • Share your video and get your friends to ‘like’ your video!
  • 10 finalists will be chosen

  • Compose and film your own brand new composition

Meet your 12 judges! These are the hearts and minds that YOU need to impress, in order to win this competition. Our 12 expert judges are made up of some of our best players, between them they cover an unimaginable amount of musical ground and talent. Win these guys over, and you’ll have a shot at the big-time prizes!

JTC Guitar Solo Contest 2015 Terms & Conditions

Round 1

-Only one entry is permitted per person.
-Video ‘Like’ counter will be considered but JTC and their judges will have the final decision.
-All Round 1 entries must be uploaded and submitted by midnight 31st March GMT. The 10 finalists we be announced on the 14th April 2015.
-All entries must be made using one of the 5 free contest tracks provided in the contest download.

Round 2

-10 finalists will be selected by JTC and the JTC Judges to progress into Round 2.
-All Round 2 entries must be 100% original and new compositions (the include both backing/band track and lead lines).
-No previously written tracks/compositions can be used.
-Round two entries must be uploaded and submitted by midnight on 12th May GMT. Winner and runners up will be announced on 19th May 2015.

All entries

-All video entries must start and end with the provided 'Intro' and 'Outro' images (which can be found in the contest download) and include this LINK in the YouTube videos description.
-All entries must use the following YouTube title format: 'JTC Solo Contest 2015 'Your Name' Entry'.
-Entrants will not be judged solely on Video/Audio quality but it will factor into decisions.
-All 10 finalists will receive a small prize. One winner and two runners up will also be selected to receive prizes.
-Entrants will be judged on overall style, technique, expression, creativity, innovation, groove, timing and entry quality.
-All images, descriptions, and RRP’s are representative and may vary in actual prizes.
