We're now going to switch to a 2-5-1 progression in a major key. In the key of D major, the standard 2-5-1 is Em7-A7-Dmaj7, but we're going to add an extra chord. This is B7, and means we now have 2-5-1-6 (or II-V-I-VI, if you prefer).
