What’s it about?
Olly Steele’s Tyed is a track forged by hard-hitting riffs and acrobatic licks. From the precision “machine gun” riffs to the mind-blowing licks of Pierre Danel’s guest solo, there are unique tricks to be discovered at every turn.
With slow examples of every section, as well as detailed note-by-note lessons, this is your chance to get inside the workings of a head-banging bop.
Engrave your playing with new skills, and learn a tune while you do it. This is Learn to Play: Tyed.
What will I learn?
You will learn every note. That’s every riff and lick, plus Pierre Danel’s guest solo. But in doing so you’ll have to overcome a number of hurdles that will enhance your abilities.
You’ll be tuning up your right-hand rhythm chops with muted switch-ups and open notes to play both riffs and chords. There’s wide vibrato, the Olly “wobble” and riffing essentials such as hammer-ons, pull-offs and cascading patterns.
Within the spine of the song, there are lead elements, but the shredding test comes from Pierre. Learn his solo and you’ll work on sweep picking, harmonics, micro-bends and a whole lot more.
