Nazim Kri makes his JTC debut with a 20 licks release packed with ideas taken from funk, fusion, jazz and even a touch of Algerian traditional music.
Playing across four backings, Nazim wears his influences on his sleeve and combines touches of Carlton, Henderson and Hendrix to form his own take on rock and rai folk music. The end result is a wonderfully eclectic amalgam of funky licks set against a backdrop of killer jazz vibes.
This fusion of ideas comes with a flood of technical lessons with bends to hold, slides to master and fast pentatonic runs to work into your muscle memory. Using chromatic passing notes, ultra tasteful vibrato and some tension packed voicings, Nazim crafts a collection of licks that really do bring together a universe of ideas.
To show you how to use the ideas in a longer context, Nazim has also included a bonus solo over the track “Reloader”. Using the licks as a foundational springboard, the solo scorches through passages and phrases with pro levels of finesse, a solid test for any guitar player to master.
Includes 20 licks played fast and slow, four backings, PDF guide, tab/notation and a bonus solo.
Nazim Kri arrives at JTC with a fusion of jazz inspired licks that are packed with technical challenges, all in all helping you become a more unique improviser.
